VoteKottu currently does not require user accounts to vote in fan polls or take part in quick polls. You do not create a profile name, password, or account email to use these features.

Anonymous browser identifier

VoteKottu stores an anonymous browser identifier in a cookie named vk_aid. This identifier helps VoteKottu:

• Enforce vote limits (for example, one SAVE vote per device per day)
• Recognize whether this browser has already voted
• Support fair quick-poll participation

The identifier is a random value used for device-level limits. It is not intended to directly identify you as a person (such as by name or email).

Voting data

When you vote or answer a quick poll, VoteKottu may store:

• The selected contestant or poll option
• The relevant week or poll
• An anonymized / hashed form of the browser identifier
• Date or time associated with the vote activity

VoteKottu's vote records do not currently store your name, email, account profile, or raw IP address as part of those application vote records.

Like most websites, hosting or security infrastructure may generate technical logs outside VoteKottu's application vote tables. This policy describes VoteKottu's product vote and poll storage.

Analytics

When enabled, VoteKottu uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (for example page views and selected interaction events) so we can improve the experience.

Google may use cookies or similar technologies as part of Analytics. VoteKottu's Google Analytics configuration enables IP anonymization. Google's own privacy practices apply to data processed by Google.

Theme preference

VoteKottu may store your theme preference (light, dark, or system) in your browser's local storage so the site remembers how you like it to look.

Third-party links and content

VoteKottu may link to third-party sites or embed references to external content (for example Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, or news sources). Those services have their own privacy practices. VoteKottu does not control them.

We do not sell personal information

VoteKottu does not sell personal information collected through its fan voting experience.
